Recently, over 60 international students from our campuses in Downtown Los Angeles, Torrance, and Orange County took part in a special event at the Crypto.com Arena in LA: a live NHL game between the Los Angeles Kings and the Anaheim Ducks — two of California’s top professional hockey teams.
LA Kings vs. Anaheim Ducks: A California Rivalry Full of Energy
The LA Kings, a legendary team with two Stanley Cup championships, faced off against the Anaheim Ducks, a team founded by Disney in the 1990s and famous for its connection to the Mighty Ducks movie series. The Ducks, based just a short drive away in Anaheim, are longtime rivals of the Kings, making the game even more exciting.
The crowd was electric, the plays were fast, and our students had the perfect opportunity to experience a true American sports tradition.
Exclusive VIP Access: A Once-in-a-Lifetime Ice Rink Experience
But this wasn’t just any hockey game. Thanks to a unique and first-time partnership, LSI was able to secure exclusive access for our students.
Before the game began, our group was invited to step onto the actual ice rink — yes, the same ice the players skate on! Students had the chance to walk across the rink, look up at the massive arena from the players’ point of view, and feel the atmosphere of a real NHL game from the center of it all.
It was a moment that left many of our students speechless. “I felt like a real hockey player standing there — I’ll never forget this!”
