Our Program Combinations

At Language Systems International we set high standards for developing students’ English skills.

Intensive (36 hours per week)

Intensive is a combination of two programs. For example, you can study Business English and improve your TOEIC® score at the same time, or you can study ESL and Conversation at the same time. There are several combinations that you can make.

Focuses on the conversation, pronunciation, and listening skills needed to become fluent in spoken English. Students progress from basic conversation skills in the lower levels to meaningful use of newly acquired language functions and vocabulary in the higher levels.

Focuses on essential reading skills, like scanning, skimming, and comprehension. Vocabulary use is also stressed in the reading passages and in verbal communication. Students progress from basic reading and vocabulary skills to more academic and complex skills at the higher levels.

Focuses on grammar for spoken English at the beginning and intermediate levels and academic writing in the upper intermediate and advanced levels. Students start with basic survival skills at lower levels and progressively build on familiar grammatical structures by formulating more sophisticated sentences at higher levels to facilitate communication beyond the practical level.

The CMAR class specifically focuses on conversational skills and reduction of accented speech when speaking English. Students learn everyday communication skills and practice American English pronunciation in order to speak with confidence, clarity and effectiveness. The CMAR class is recommended for those students who want to improve as quickly as possible, especially in speaking.

The focus is on using idioms correctly in everyday conversations. The students will practice idioms in a variety of different contexts and use idioms confidently in conversations and discussions.

The focus is on immersing the students in different “real life” situations in which they must communicate effectively. In this class the students will act in a variety of contexts in order to learn how to deal with real situations in English-speaking world. Students will do dialogues, improvisations, and acting in order to improve communication skills.

Semi-Intensive (22 hours per week)

Semi-Intensive combines the ESL Program with the Conversation Management & Accent Reduction (CMAR) class. In the CMAR class, you will work on pronunciation and reduce your accent to develop better English conversational skills. You will improve your English fluency skills even more by taking this specially designed pronunciation and conversation class in addition to your regular classes. Semi-Intensive has the following classes:
