Every October, the United States transforms into a world of pumpkins, lights, and spooky fun. Halloween is one of the most exciting and celebrated traditions in American culture, from decorated houses and haunted mazes to costume parties and parades. For international students, it’s not just a holiday — it’s a chance to experience a piece of the country’s heart and soul.
Last Thursday, October 9th, our Language Systems International (LSI) students had the chance to live this experience at Knott’s Scary Farm, one of the largest and most famous theme parks in Southern California.
During the Halloween season, the park completely transforms — the streets are filled with fog, monsters, and eerie music. Each year, there’s a new theme: haunted houses, scare zones, live shows, and incredible performers dressed in realistic, terrifying costumes. Students also enjoyed the rides, from thrilling roller coasters and drop towers to the classic Log Ride, where they floated through a spooky river adventure.
Despite the park’s size and popularity, the lines weren’t too long, giving everyone time to enjoy the attractions, laugh, take photos, and make memories that will last forever. It was truly an unforgettable night!
