Last week, students from our TOEFL Preparation and Conversation class and Teachers Caroline and Christian went on an exciting trip to the Broad Museum in Downtown Los Angeles.
The Broad is one of the most iconic contemporary art museums in the U.S.. It is known for its eye-catching architecture and impressive collection featuring world-renowned artists like Yayoi Kusama, Jeff Koons, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Students could engage in conversations, expand their vocabulary, and practice English in a real and immersive setting.
The group also visited the historic Angel’s Flight, a famous funicular railway located in the heart of Los Angeles. This landmark gained additional popularity after its appearance in the Oscar-winning movie “La La Land,” making it a must-see destination for anyone visiting the city. They also enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the Grand Central Market, the oldest open market in Los Angeles. With a history of over 100 years, it is the most famous indoor food market in California.
