On June 5th, students from all three Language Systems campuses in Los Angeles had an unforgettable experience at the Dodgers game against the New York Mets! A total of 72 students joined the trip, getting the chance to learn more about one of the most popular sports in the United States — baseball!
It was a hot day — summer is definitely on its way in Los Angeles! But that didn’t stop our students from enjoying every moment. They embraced the heat with classic ballpark snacks, cold drinks, and lots of laughter.
For many of our international students, this was their very first baseball game. Baseball is often called “America’s pastime” and is a sport full of unique rules, fun traditions, and exciting moments. From cheering for home runs to singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game,” the experience gave students a real taste of American sports culture.
This wasn’t just a game — it was a cultural experience
Baseball is a huge part of American life and an even bigger part of L.A.’s local culture. Attending a Dodgers game in the heart of Los Angeles is a true Southern California tradition, and our students got to experience it like locals.
They also had the chance to practice their English in a fun, real-world environment — learning new words and expressions, and making new friends from different campuses.
